Another parable

     There was once a couple who lived in a land of confusion and strife. With a yearning for peace and clarity, they at last found a country based on true principles of eternal life with liberty and justice for all. They became citizens and had their first two children naturalized citizens as well so they could all enjoy the benefits of this great nation. Later other children were born becoming citizens by birth. They looked forward to being a happy family sharing the blessings of truth and freedom. One day, one of the younger children, in a desire to establish her own identity, decided to move away and become a citizen of a different country. This other country was the one the parents had left years before. It offered some pleasures but was still full of confusion and strife. The parents mourned for the choice of their child and longed for her return to be with them in the country they had chosen. She was so far away and, though she would write or call occasionally, there was always a distance remaining. The parents never gave up hope that she would return to them and the country of peace, clarity, justice, and freedom.
